History

White Hill is a country road through the Kent Downs between Challock and the A28 near Wye. The route passes close to King's Wood, with rural verges, bends and wooded stretches that can feel isolated after dark.

Reported activity

A published retelling describes a motorist in 2000 seeing a woman in her thirties, wearing a long coat, in the road. The figure reportedly smiled immediately before the apparent impact, but the driver found no injured person or sign of a collision. The account is retained as a reported road story, not as proof that a collision or apparition occurred.
